This Aircam was built in 2000 in Florida. The aircraft then went to Porta Rico for a few years and then spent 10 years in storage in Mexico. The plane was returned to the Lockwood Factory in 2019 and had a US$120,000 refurbishment which included the Dynon avionics system. I imported the aircraft into Australia in January 2025 with 450 hours total time.
There are presently two other Aircams in Australia, both on floats, and two kits under construction, as of June 2025.
The Aircam was originally designed for National Geographic in the 1980s by Lockwood Aircraft as a safe and stable camera platform for a documentary series in the Congo.
