This Mazda Crew Cab Fire Rescue truck has a genuine 51,000km on the clock. The truck has 8 lockable storage areas making it ideal for a tradesman. The pump presently has one output which is to the power reel at the back. The water output manifold has provision for two more 3-inch take-offs. Tradesman Vehicle: suitable for a plumber, electrician or reticulation contractor. Plenty of room for PVC on the roof & wide enough for a Dingo or trencher if the water tank is removed.
Fire & RescueTruck: Suitable for a rescue vehicle at Public Events, or last line fire protection on a property - park the truck within 9m of a water tank, dam or pool and use it to pump directly.
The truck was used as a country town Fire & Rescue unit, The truck's pump system is designed to connect to a a Mains Water outlet (appr 50psi) and increase the pressure to around 400psi. The truck also has its own water supply of around 1200 litres. The onboard water tank can be filled via the filling port on top or via the the suction hoses which attach to the pump i.e. from a creek, lake, pool etc.
The transmission is designed so that the entire engine power can be split from the transmission and transferred to the water pump. There is also a heat exchanger which circulates engine coolant through the pump fo additional cooling when the engine is stationary and under high pumping loads.
To personalise the truck for my kids Ive added a couple of blue police strobes and an ambulance type siren - its the little things that count :]
