Weather resistant
We've designed IC-M11 to withstand tough conditions at sea and on shore. Don't worry about using IC-M11 on deck - IC-M11 is WEATHER RESISTANT. Don't worry about the sun - IC-M11 withstands temperatures up to 60° C. Don't worry about sand penetrating the case - IC-M11 is DUST-TIGHT. Even though IC-M11 is compact, it's built to last the punishment of rugged environments.
All marine channels already programmed
We program ALL the U.S.A. and International marine channels available to marine radio operators into IC-M11 at the factory. IC-M11 is ready-to-operate. No frequency programming necessary! You can use IC-M11 in every port in the world. Write any marine channel into one of the 24 memory channels at the touch of a button. Clear and rewrite memory channels in an instant.
High output power
IC-M11 output power is six watts, more than most handheld marine transceivers provide, and enough to make you heard. For short distance contacts, press the H/L switch on the front panel for one watt output. When you don't need the extra signal strength six watts gives, this handy HIGH/LOW power output selectability can help you save power.
Dual and tri watch
IC-M11 has two watch functions. DUAL WATCH simultaneously monitors emergency channel 16 and a channel of your choice. TRI WATCH is an Icom innovation - unique to the market. TRI WATCH monitors three channels simultaneously: emergency channel 16, memory channel 00, and a channel of your choice. DUAL WATCH and TRI WATCH are great conveniences. You needn't flip back and forth between channels. All you need to do is set the frequencies to be monitored. When one or more signals are received on any of the monitored frequencies, they will be heard over the speaker.
Scan functions
IC-M11 has three scan functions. The DIAL SCAN scans all U.S.A. or International marine channels, except those you lock out. The MEMORY SCAN scans all the memory channels you've written. The WEATHER CHANNEL SCAN scans all weather channels. Using these three functions, you can scan any combination of frequencies hands free. IC-M11 has been designed for convenient scan operations. There are few buttons to push, eliminating the guess work needed to operate other marine transceivers.
IC-M11 is weather resistant, making it perfect for marine operations. You can be assured that splashing water on the case will not affect IC-M11's circuitry and mechanism. Both front and back panel are made of strong metal frame. You'll be satisfied with this rugged little marine transceiver.
