| "The VX500 PID uses a field-replaceable, plug-in detector and 10.6eV lamp to detect and measure hazardous volatile organic compounds (VOCs) like toluene, xylene and vinyl chloride at levels as low as 100 parts per billion (ppb). The VX500 has over one hundred response factors (factory-loaded) that enable the display reading to be tuned to a particular gas while still providing easy access to the most commonly encountered hazards. Using its internal pump, the VX500 can draw remote gas samples from as far away as 100', ideal for confined space entry testing and leak assessments. Features include simple one-button calibration with user-definable security code, TWA and STEL readings with peak/hold memory, and a time-delay power button that prevents unintentional shut-off. The large LCD display offers manual or automatic backlighting in darkness or alarm conditions. The high intensity 90dB audible alarm and ultrabright LED visual alarm alert the user when dangerous levels are detected. Datalogging capability features memory for up to 1800 readings, iButton® data input, and customizable data recording intervals from one second to five minutes. The VX500 is Docking Station™ compatible, allowing complete use of that system's automatic calibration and record-keeping functions. Choose rechargeable lithium-ion batteries for up to 18 hours of run time, or three replaceable AA alkaline batteries for up to seven hours of run time. The VX500 is housed in an impact-resistant ABS composite case that provides full EMI and RFI shielding. Detector measures 10 x 2.9 x 1.9" and weighs 25.6 oz.
